Wendy Hargreaves, Food Editor, Sunday Herald Sun
As a girl, Wendy was happiest when her dad arrived home from work with a bar of chocolate and an evening Herald. Decades later, she still can’t resist the combination good chocolate and fresh newsprint. A newspaper journalist for more than 20 years, Wendy has covered sport, politics, crime and all manner of news events, plus a stint as deputy chief of staff at the daily Herald Sun. Now she’s writing about food and she couldn’t be happier.
Wendy launched Sunday Food for the Sunday Herald Sun in late 2009. Soon after, she joined MTR as a radio food expert (streaming on mtr1377.com.au), talking with some of Australia’s best chefs every Sunday afternoon.
Wendy lives in Melbourne with her husband and two daughters.
